Maybe we are meant to meet the wrong people before meeting the right one so that when we finally meet the right person, we will know how to be grateful for that gift. Maybe it is true that we don't know what we have until we lose it, but it is also true that we don't know what we have been missing until it arrives. giving someone all your love is never an assurance that they will love you back. The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the most of everything that comes along their way. Happiness lies for those who cry, those who hurt, those who have searched, and those who have tried, for only they can appreciate the importance of people who have touched their lives.
When everything's meant to be broken, I just want you to know who I am.
I’ve always been scared to share myself with others. Partly because I hate being judged, but mostly because I don’t want anyone to know all of me. Once they know everything, they start expecting things. Expectiations only lead to dissappointments. I can’t stand other people’s dissappointments; they have no right to expect things in others. So sometimes I want to do something just to throw them off their routine. Just to see who hangs on and who fucks offf. Please promise you’ll stay. You’re the only person I don’t want to lose.
And if I fall through these days that go by without cause
Just a painful mistake has left me here on my own
And if I fall through these nights I can’t seem to go on
Just a sign that you’re with me gives me the strength to hold on
Now that the line’s been broken
I’m too afraid to just look back
The pages have left an empty space
You were all I had
Why does it have to be this way
These things they’ll never change
Still I’m left with knowing, content and happy, this is all I need
This song is the thing that gets me through everything. I want to get “I swim for brighter days despite the absence of sun” tattooed on my back in between my shoulder blades as a reminder of what I live by.
“There was my name up in lights. I said, ‘God, somebody’s made a mistake.’ But there it was, in lights. And I sat there and said, ‘Remember, you’re not a star.’ Yet there it was up in lights.”—Marilyn Monroe..again
“In Hollywood a girl’s virtue is much less important than her hairdo. You’re judged by how you look, not by what you are. Hollywood’s a place where they’ll pay you a thousand dollars for kiss, and fifty cents for your soul. I know, because I turned down the first offer often enough and held out for the fifty.”—Mariyln Monroe
